As promised: a conversation with Ashley Ormon on poetry

In honor of National Poetry Month (April), see my exchange with Ashley Ormon, editor of Proverbs and Wisdom, and author of God in Your Morning. Our discussion of poetry and of my little book, The Just Quiet Wind, continues in her print magazine, In the Light. Order a copy to support this winsome and avid advocate for Christian poets and writers.

National Poetry Month

A day or so after joining the Christian Poets and Writers FaceBook group, I found myself warmly welcomed by the facilitator, Mary Harwell Sayler, and my introductory post in the stack just beneath that of one Ashley Ormon, editor of Proverbs and Wisdom, as well as In the Light magazine. And what a lovely, bright, encouraging spirit she is! Ashley was looking for poets to interview for National Poetry Month, and Mary kindly suggested me. To make a long story short, my interview with Ashley, including our discussion of poetry in general and my little volume, The Just Quiet Wind, will appear early next week on Proverbs and Wisdom, before the sun sets on April. I will link to the interview when it appears. Meanwhile, check out Ms. Ormon's first book, a most uplifting devotional called God in Your Morning. I think it may be just what the doctor ordered.

Oran Beag [A Soundtrack for the Close of the Age]

This is Track 9 on A Soundtrack for the Close of the Age, and the final track on that album before Track 10, Imago Dei, was added a few years later. The title means "little song."
